Cindi & Erica Rose of the Holly Rose Ribbon Foundation find a way to insure health and wellness. . . in lovely lodge and spa 1 hour from the city!
“Deer Lake Lodge and Spa near Conroe was bliss– relaxing, a detox from all meat & cooked foods, with wonderful spa services. No meat, or fish – it is all organic vegetables and teas, raw foods, vitamins, fresh apple juice, fresh carrot juice, and fresh green juice each day and a hot soup made with sesame butter, vegetables, fresh rose water, fresh coconut milk, all fruit & vegetables, organic, soaked nut butters, coconut milk, everything fresh. Not only did I lose the pound per day, so 3 ½ pounds, as promised, the food was better than where I had been in the past, and the cabins are super lux, with the best beds, sheets & pillows!” Says silhouette artist Cindi Rose.
“The price of the stay varies per services included, time of year, and special promotions offered (check their website at www.deerlakelodge.com.) We spent less than you might think for tons of services, and had a wonderful time– 3 colonics, 4 AMAZING acupunctures, 2 massages, 3 magnesium wraps with head-to-toe massage, iridology and more; extra services are often available such as massage, colon therapy, & natura bisse facials… and yes, we saw deer and lakes!
We were treated to FABULOUS morning yoga, and juice fasts with a great raw soup each night – the soup was as delicious as ice cream (imagine organic sesame butter, rose petal water, squash, Himalayan pink salt, maple syrup, avocado, turmeric and fresh coconut or macadamia nut milk in a VitaMix hot soup) at 4:00 each day, and green juices with kale, celery, cucumber, cilantro & apple that raw food chef April Ree lovingly prepared. We also luxuriated in the infra-red saunas, salt water pool, cool therapies, and learned new ways to stay positive and healthy, relax, restore, redeem. Deer Lake Lodge is the best kept secret, one hour from Houston, totally delicious raw foods, and a detox, to help your heart, fight cancer, detoxify your kidneys and liver, lose weight and then some! I have to say, I am so relaxed and feel lighter in mood and body! I look better, my eyes are shining and my skin is glowing.”
