How We Guarantee 100% Network Uptime

Our “Zero Downtime” network features physically diverse SONET connectivity to multiple Tier 1 carriers for low latency,{mosimage} high{mosimage} performance and high availability. Our network was engineered from the ground up to accommodate the high-availability demands of our customers’ mission-critical Web applications. Rather than going with one low cost bandwidth provider, we have chosen to purchase guaranteed network transit through established Tier 1 providers in order to provide the maximum uptime and access speeds for our customers. With over 2 gigabits of transit available at any time, and connectivity to no less than two Tier 1 providers, Charming Web guarantees the highest level of performance and reliability available.

Multiple redundancy With 4 Tier-1 Providers For Maximum Uptime

Our Cisco-powered, Zero-Downtime Network has unique self-healing attributes that allow us to deliver on our 100% infrastructure availability guarantee. Working with multiple network carriers creates natural redundancy in our network architecture and ensures that packets can leave our network from multiple points. Additionally, if one or more providers experience congestion or downtime, traffic can be rerouted through other network partners until the issue is solved.

Edge access to our servers is provided via Enterasys N3 layer 2 switchgear. All servers are connected via dual homed Ethernet connections. Each N3 switch is fed via gigabit Ethernet by a pair of Juniper M40 terrabit routers. Known for many times the capacity, reliability, and performance of other industry brands, using Juniper equipment ensures that under all conditions customer traffic is delivered over the most advantageous path and with the lowest latency.

24×7 Server & Network Monitoring

Charming Web monitors every element of the network for both uptime and performance… from traffic levels, to equipment, to latency of packets leaving via each upstream provider. We also monitor each resource on every individual server within the network via one-minute checks, 24 hours per day. Unusual activity is immediately flagged and customers are contacted. In addition, our providers are paid to make sure that packets of information are delivered quickly and efficiently to your end users. This offers significant advantages over simply peering with the major backbones. Peering agreements rarely include Service Level Agreements (SLAs) so no one is accountable for lost packets at congested exchange points. Because our data center haas SLAs with all major network partners, we are able to guarantee that all packets will leave our network at full speed.

Our substantial bandwidth capacity allows us to accommodate even the largest spikes in traffic. To ensure rapid delivery of content, we continuously add network connectivity and new routes. Low bandwidth utilization allows for maximum uptime, even if multiple transit partners experience simultaneous outages.
